1. Introduction

Welcome to Ranchi Car Rental. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our car rental services, website, and mobile applications. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Service Description

Ranchi Car Rental provides self-drive and chauffeur-driven car rental services in Ranchi, Jharkhand, and surrounding areas. Our services include:

• Self-drive car rentals for personal and business use
• Chauffeur-driven car services
• Airport and railway station pickup services
• Doorstep delivery and pickup
• 24×7 customer support

3. Eligibility Requirements

For Self-Drive Rentals:

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Valid Indian driving license (minimum 1 year old)
• Valid identity proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport)
• Valid address proof
• Credit card or debit card for security deposit

For Chauffeur-Driven Services:

• Valid identity proof
• Valid address proof
• Credit card or debit card for payment

4. Booking and Payment Terms

Booking Process:

• Bookings can be made online, via phone, or through our mobile app
• Advance booking is recommended, especially during peak seasons
• All bookings are subject to vehicle availability
• We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances

Payment Terms:

• Payment must be made in advance or at the time of vehicle delivery
• We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and digital payments
• Security deposit is required for self-drive rentals
• Additional charges may apply for fuel, tolls, and parking
• Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days

5. Rental Terms and Conditions

Vehicle Usage:

• Vehicle must be used only for lawful purposes
• No smoking, eating, or drinking inside the vehicle
• Vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, or commercial purposes
• Maximum occupancy as per vehicle specifications
• No pets allowed without prior permission

Vehicle Return:

• Vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and location
• Late return charges apply: ₹100 per hour for the first 2 hours, ₹200 per hour thereafter
• Vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received
• Fuel tank must be returned at the same level as provided
• All personal belongings must be removed from the vehicle

6. Insurance and Liability

Vehicle Insurance:

• All vehicles are covered by comprehensive insurance
• Insurance covers third-party liability and own damage
• Customer is liable for any damage caused due to negligence
• Insurance does not cover personal belongings

Customer Liability:

• Customer is responsible for any traffic violations
• Customer must report any accidents immediately
• Customer is liable for any damage to the vehicle
• Security deposit may be forfeited for damages or violations

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation Charges:

• More than 24 hours: No cancellation charges
• 12-24 hours: 25% of rental amount
• Less than 12 hours: 50% of rental amount
• No-show: 100% of rental amount

Refund Process:

• Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
• Refunds are credited to the original payment method
• Bank charges, if any, are borne by the customer

8. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Using mobile phones while driving
• Smoking or consuming tobacco products inside the vehicle
• Transporting illegal substances or contraband
• Using the vehicle for racing or reckless driving
• Subletting or transferring the vehicle to another person
• Taking the vehicle outside the permitted geographical area

9. Force Majeure

Ranchi Car Rental shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, storms)
• Government actions or restrictions
• War, terrorism, or civil unrest
• Pandemic or health emergencies
• Technical failures or internet outages

10. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may collect personal information including name, contact details, driving license information, and payment details for the purpose of providing our services.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ranchi Car Rental's liability is limited to the rental amount paid by the customer. We shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, business, or opportunities
• Personal injury or property damage
• Loss of personal belongings
• Delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

We encourage customers to resolve disputes through direct communication with our customer service team before pursuing legal action.
