At Ranchi Car Rental, we collect a refundable security deposit from all customers as part of our booking process. This ensures responsible usage of our vehicles and covers unforeseen situations.
1. Deposit Amount
- The deposit amount depends on the type of car and rental plan
- Standard deposit range: ₹3,000 – ₹10,000
- The exact amount will be shown at the time of booking

2. Mode of Payment
- Deposit can be paid by UPI, debit/credit card, or bank transfer
- For walk-in customers, cash deposit may also be accepted

💵 Cash Payments
- Available for walk-in customers
- Receipt provided immediately
- Same refund process applies
3. Refund Conditions
- Deposit is refunded after successful return of the car in the same condition as handed over
- Refund is usually processed within 3–5 working days
- If payment was made by card/bank, refund will be credited to the same account

4. Deductions from Deposit
Deductions may be applied in the following cases:
⏰ Late Return
Additional rental charges as per policy
⛽ Fuel Shortage
If fuel level is lower than at the time of pickup
🔧 Damage
Any repair costs for damage not covered under insurance
🚨 Traffic Fines
Any pending challans during the rental period
🧽 Cleaning Charges
If car is returned in excessively dirty condition
5. Non-Refundable Situations
- If forged/invalid KYC documents are provided
- If the customer fails to return the vehicle
- In case of illegal or unauthorized use of the car
6. Transparency
- A detailed invoice of deductions (if any) will be shared with the customer
- Ranchi Car Rental does not charge any hidden fees
