📝 KYC (Know Your Customer) Policy — Ranchi Car Rental
At Ranchi Car Rental, safety and trust are our top priorities. To ensure compliance with legal requirements and to protect both our customers and vehicles, we follow a strict KYC (Know Your Customer) policy.
1. Documents Required
All customers must provide the following documents before booking confirmation:
- Valid Driving License (mandatory for self-drive bookings)
- Government-issued Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card / Passport / Voter ID / PAN Card)
- Address Proof (if not covered in the above documents)
Important: Original Driving License must be shown at the time of vehicle pickup.
2. Security Deposit
- A refundable security deposit is collected at the time of booking
- The deposit will be refunded after the safe return of the car, subject to deductions (if any) for damage, late return, or fuel shortage
3. Eligibility
Self-Drive Rentals
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Valid driving license with at least 1 year of driving experience
Chauffeur Service
- Customers booking with chauffeur service need to provide only Photo ID proof
4. Verification Process
- Customers must upload KYC documents during the booking process or provide them at pickup
- Documents are verified by our team before releasing the vehicle
- Ranchi Car Rental reserves the right to deny booking if submitted documents are invalid, expired, or unclear
5. Privacy & Data Protection
- All KYC documents are collected only for verification purposes
- Copies are stored securely and never shared with third parties, except as required by law
- Customers may request deletion of their KYC records after the booking is completed
6. Non-Compliance
- If a customer fails to provide valid KYC documents, Ranchi Car Rental may cancel the booking without refund
- Any attempt to provide forged or fraudulent documents will lead to permanent blacklisting and possible legal action
